Innovation at the cutting edge (of your feet)

April’s Gambettes tights are made from a 100% natural material: castor oil. It comes from a small and pretty awesome flower (Ricinus communis) that is transformed into natural thread for your tights.

Since April is a time to keep your threads on, we decided it’s the perfect month for us to unveil the fruit of our labour: less polluting tights.

We have opted for EVO® thread, an ultra innovative polyamide produced from castor oil: it is bio-based and made of a renewable raw material of 100% natural origin.

Why are we changing things?

Tights are light and comfortable thanks to polyamide fibre. However, this textile is generally polluting, as it is made from non-renewable material. For a year now, we’ve been addressing this issue by only using trimmings salvaged from the waste.

are less polluting

are produced using less water (Ricinus doesn’t require much)

are Oeko-Tex* certified

have coolness ingrained

*A certified fabric that is monitored at every stage, from raw material processing to thread production and dying, to ensure it contains no harmful chemicals.

This April we wanted to go even further by opting for a polyamide of natural origin.
